Attorney Lewis works with clients from Southern California to help protect the rights of elderly citizens who have been abused, neglected or exploited at nursing homes.   Mr. Lewis spent several years in a large San Diego law firm defending the corporations that own and operate nursing homes.  He is now leveraging that experience to assist his clients.

Elder abuse includes physical and financial abuse, as well as neglect. Tough laws mandate that nursing homes and other care custodians provide clean and safe environments where individuals receive dignified and essential help with daily activities including proper hygiene, nutrition, hydration, and assistance with medication. Failing to meet these standards is a crime and victims of elder abuse and their families now have a better form of redress against such abuses. Families who prove especially egregious elder abuse may, among other remedies, be entitled to recover attorney fees.
